River Tryweryn.
The river Tryweryn is a wild brown trout river. Grayling are present on the lower
reaches. Migrating salmon are present as are minnows, loaches and bullheads.
- Rules for the Tryweryn: no spinning at any time. Fly and worm only, Maggots and
ground baiting not permitted – NRW bye-law
- The river is subject to a rapid rise in level due to water releases from Llyn Celyn.

are about 0.5 to 0.6M. 0.8M-1.0M is nice water. Above the1.5M river is getting high.
- The river is used extensively for canoeing and rafting and will be busy at weekends.
